🌿 Meet Then Match — Host Partnership Overview
Thank you for your interest in hosting events on Meet Then Match.
Before applying, it’s important to understand what makes this platform different.
Meet Then Match is not a dating app.
And it is not a traditional singles event.
Traditional singles events place the focus on meeting someone. When the focus is “find someone,” people often feel pressure to perform, impress, or evaluate others in a heightened, artificial way.
That is not our model.
At Meet Then Match, the activity comes first.
People attend because they genuinely enjoy the experience — hiking, cooking, learning, fitness, dining, creativity, lectures, or shared interests.
Connection happens naturally as a byproduct of shared experience.
We believe people are most attractive and authentic when they are relaxed and engaged in something they truly enjoy.
🎯 Our Core Principle
Our primary goal is to bring together like-minded single people who enjoy the same activities and provide a safe, relaxed environment where they can meet casually face to face.
The focus is always on the activity itself — not on dating.
We remove pressure by designing events where:
The goal is not to create a dating atmosphere.
The goal is to create a real-life environment where:
• The activity stands on its own
• Social interaction unfolds organically
• No one is forced into pairings
• No decisions are made during the event
• No one feels evaluated in real time
Participants should leave feeling that they enjoyed a meaningful activity — even if they did not meet someone they wish to reconnect with.
If a connection happens, that is a bonus.
The experience itself must always stand on its own.
👤Your Role as a Host
As a host, your responsibility is to provide and facilitate the activity.
In addition, Meet Then Match adds a light structure to reduce anxiety and support intentional interaction.
At the beginning of the event, you will:
• Facilitate a short welcome introduction
• Set a calm and respectful tone
• Ask one prepared icebreaker question
To reduce pressure and anxiety, we send the icebreaker question to participants two days before the event so everyone feels prepared and at ease.
The question should relate naturally to your activity.
Examples:
- For a cooking workshop: “What’s a dish that reminds you of home?”
- For a hiking event: “What’s one place in nature that makes you feel calm?”
- For a lecture: “What insight changed the way you see relationships?”
The purpose is to create light structure without turning the event into a dating session.
🤝During the Activity
Whenever possible, participants should interact in smaller groups throughout the experience.
When submitting your event for approval, you will be asked to suggest how your activity can:
- Encourage small group interaction
- Keep the atmosphere relaxed
- Avoid pressure or forced romantic focus
The structure should feel natural — not staged. The goal is low-pressure mingling within a structured yet casual environment.
🧩Compatibility & Grouping
Closer to the event date, we may provide you with participant information that helps optimize natural interaction.
If your venue or format allows for seating or grouping adjustments, reasonable effort should be made to:
• Encourage balanced participation
• Support compatible participants being within proximity
• Avoid isolating individuals
However, the goal is never to “match” people during the event.
The goal is to create the right environment and let chemistry unfold naturally.
đź”’After the Event
Matching does not happen during the activity.
After the event, participants privately indicate who they would like — or would not like — to reconnect with.
When interest is mutual, contact details are exchanged.
This preserves privacy, reduces pressure, and keeps the experience intentional.
We look forward to partnering with hosts who understand that meaningful connection happens best in environments that are structured, safe, and centered around shared experience.
